Thank you!

For all your prayers and encouragement! It is really encouraging to me and reminds me that God is faithful and will provide.

Jordan and I just got back from a semi-eventful trip to Gunni. On the way there our car overheated (which it does often), but today was a really lousy time for delays. We were delayed even more when Jordan accidently dropped the radiator cap into the car (this has happened before, so I was having a really hard time being patient) but we managed to retrieve it and get back on the road, without me crying! I was pretty stressed out about being so late to the ultrasound appointment, not sure if they'd still be able to fit me in, thank goodness they were. We got to see Adelaide again (and sure enough, she's all girl!!!). She has gotten a lot chubbier since we last saw her, which was so cute to see and she still has my nose! After checking on the baby, they checked out my gallbladder, kidney, and liver and thankfully they were wrong about gallstones. But there was quite a bit of sludge so I'm almost in the same situation (i.e. pain and a non-fat diet), apparently if I don't cut out all fat, I'm on my way to having the stones form. But all other organs were functioning fine, I'm very thankful for that. I had a visit to my OB afterwards and another praise is that my blood pressure was normal! She's not too worried about pre-eclampsia although there were other symptoms found, so that's a huge burden lifted.
However, I am having more contractions than I should be at this point (but I'm not dialated at all, more good news!) and because of that and the gallbladder, she wants me to stay off my feet as much as I can and she wants to keep closer tabs on me, so I'll be back to see her again on Monday.

Now regarding the doctor shuffle: with these extra complications and the way our car is acting up, Jordan and I decided to stick it out with the doctor that has all my records and history and that is closer. It is a little disappointing, but it's only 8 (Lord willing!) more weeks and there will be plenty (Lord willing again!) more babies to try a homebirth with.

I think that is all the news we have for today, which is good! Because I know it could be worse and I'm thanking the Lord it isn't. But I'm really exhausted now and still have 4 papers to write this week and a non-fat (ugh) diet to research. So if anyone has any non-fat recipes or food suggestions, that'd be amazing! Thanks again so much for all your prayers and for caring about this, we're so thankful for you!

That is so good to hear! I like non-fat yogurt, but other than that almost everything has some level of fat in it....sorry! That is so exciting that you are going to have little Adelaide around so quickly...hang in there and our prayers are with you! Good thing school is on the internet, that way your semi-house arrest will not be too disrupting!

Glad to hear that things aren't as bad as you thought, but I understand they are still just as hard! I love you and I am praying for you! I remember feeling like those last 6-8 weeks were never going to pass, it is hard to remain faithful and chearfull during that time, esp with your situation. I was given the option to induce Steele a week early and was SOOO tempted. I got home, prayed and thought about it and God reminded me that HE is in control....Your little one will come just as soon as God is ready! I know that is hard to keep in mind right now, so I am praying for you on that! And, even though you can't have a home birth (This time!) you can and will have an incredible birth...the day will come soon! (sooner than you think once it's all said and done!) :)

Oh, and I'm no Dr (obviously) but I know of a few good suggestions (maybe they will be anyway) Not sure how strict your diet is, but a lot of LOW-FAT (as opposed to non fat, cause non fat is hard to find) food that Todd and I eat are things like salad (with O+V instead of dressing) grilled chicken/fish (no red meat), fruits, veggies, non-fat yogurt/cottage cheese, and anything low in transfat (partially hydrogenated oil is the label name) and NO soda, even if it says it's fat free/sugar free/calorie free or whatever, the carbonation is bad...and I've heard these few things can help.
Tumeric -enhances the flow of bile.
Ginger -aids in digestion of fats.
Fiber - in the form of vegetables, fruit and grains. These can all help digeston
Hope this is somewhat helpful, sorry I don't have any "recipes"
