Here is the bookshelf Jordan made for Adelaide, this was taken right after I finished staining it. He did such a good job and he was SOO excited to make something for his daughter!
I spent the weekend painting, needed some color in our apartment. This wall was originally red, which was nice, but this green is more us and much brighter...
There was a red border, so we just painted over it with the green.
This is on the wall opposing the green wall.

We weren't anticipating it to turn out so bright, but I love it! I've also noticed a recurring color theme in my house:

My fabulous shower curtain!

This is in honor of Susanna! looking at clouds!

Hahaha, I literally almost peed my pants laughing. I was laughing so hard I started crying, it was hilarious.
These are just some of the projects I've been working on to keep myself busy until Adelaide arrives. It really is therapy for me to paint and build things. Well I'm off to make fajitas for dinner! Mmmm....

It looks amazing!!!
fun times. and what a great looking place. cool beans. and awsome pic of jordan!!
Wow, that shelf that JOrdan made is sooo nice. I am so proud of that.
love it! I'm jealous! you should've come help us paint when we moved recently. Our place turned out ok, but your stuff always looks way more "hip" or something :)
good to see you're posting pics you took yourself. I keep getting confused why you post random ones you didn't take. how come you do this?
susanna it's a form of expressing yourself. do a google search and pull up a blog and you'll see it's done quite often. speaking through pictures, illustrating thoughts....blah blah blah.
Charity, I was going to take a picture of our bathroom and show you our update, but the green is pretty much the same. Love it!! And your haircut is almost the same at mine!!! Hmmmmmmmm, I think great minds DO think alike. Jordan does not look to happy in that last shot. Was that just for effect??? Love, mom j
well excuse me!!!!!
I guess I'm just so used to me and some friends only using our own art to express ourselves, that I didn't realize others borrow to do it.
smack down!
WHOA suas, you JUST posted someone's song on your blog! hypocrite! haha
Mom J...that's soo neat! I love green! that's the main color running through my house currently...great minds! You should show me a pic of your hair! and yes JOrdan was not very happy about the paint, because he had literally jsut taken a shower...
true. however, there can still be things that we want/desire in the future, but can't have now. when it's out of our control. take my bachelor's degree, for instance. I am waiting to receive that. but not passively. I am being active in the process. so in other forms of forced waiting, one must be active in still keeping oneself prepared and intentional about those desires.
so waiting perhaps, IS in the eye of the beholder. but however the beholder looks at it, there is always still an aspect of waiting we all must do. I am waiting to further prepare my sunday school lesson for tomorrow. but not passively sitting here doing so. I am thoroughly and intellectually responding to your comment, and writing a paper for school. I'm content waiting to do the lesson, but still actively living in the moment.
annnnnnnnd. I let people KNOW when I am posting material that is not my own. note that I gave you the author's name, to inform you it was NOT me who wrote it??
shazam!
ps. it's the matter of becoming confused because you don't specify whether you took them or not. that was my main issue.
You two are fighting like sisters...Oh, wait?
Ha ha I think your blog is great! I love reading it and enjoy all and any pictures, posting, etc. Your house looks great, so, so cute! And YOU look even better! Can't wait for that baby to come! :)
