Whew! What a weekend! Jordan and I left Thursday morning for SLC to spend some time with my family and to meet my newest nephew Micaiah. We were delayed in Montrose for 3 hours while we got new tires put on the car but finally we made it to my parents, what should have been an 8 hour drive became a 12 hour drive...I was SO ready to get out of the car by that time! On Friday I was able to go to 'High Tea' with Susanna and my gooooood friend Brook, it was so nice to catch up and relax. Friday evening my mom (and sisters) threw me a small baby shower, which was fun! It was really good to see everyone (sister in laws and old friends) and I'm so thankful for everyone taking time to do that for me and Adelaide. Meanwhile, Jordan hung out with my dad and Micah and was able to go bowling.
The rest of the weekend was filled with visiting with family and Brook's baby shower. It was tiring and busy but SOOO nice and refreshing. I really did need to get out of this town for a little since the weeks before have been really tough on me.
(don't ask me why but Jordan just walked in the front door with handcuffs on...made me laugh)
It's always hard for me to come home after being with my family, as I get really homesick and walking into our apartment with just the two of us makes me lonely. But when we got home, my AMAZING husband 'surprised' me with a Wii!!!! We had talked about it, but I knew it was not something we could really afford and I have been dealing with major guilt ever since I saw it last night. But he got it as a gift for our anniversary (which we had to cancel our plans due to finances) and Mother's Day...and using some of our tax rebate this year. It really means a lot to me, especially right now, because it's something Jordan and I can do together (that we're both interested in) and it helps me cope a little bit with being alone out here. Sounds a little shallow I know, but it's the truth! It's our first and last real splurge before the baby comes, so I'm going to enjoy it :D
Sorry there are no pictures...it was the first trip I remembered my camera, unfortunately I forgot it once we arrived.

glad to hear you can be entertained now...which games do you have? that's cool that the two of you can have fun with it together.
It was good to see you and I am glad that your trip went well! I hope that everything mellows out before Adelaide comes....hang in there for the last couple weeks of school!
Charity! I miss you! I'm super glad you guys got a Wii.. you talked about it all the time here! haha....
who commented about killer bunnies? charity or jordan?
Hey, whatever you can find to do together, I think constitutes an acceptable splurge. Within reason. I wouldn´t recommend you go buy a yacht or anything. But in addition to being fun, the Wii can be an exellent way to work out, so that´s all good. I was sorry to miss High Tea. I´m glad you had a good time.
Hi Charity!
I met you very briefly last yearish. Thought I would say hi =) That is so exciting that you & Jordan are expecting! & the room looks great. You have good taste. Will you tell Jordan that Muzzah aka JennG said hi? Thanks! Stay well (& warm - I hear that you are getting lots of snow right now)

You should update everyone on the midwife thingy and how little Adelaide is doing...I know you are busy with school, but I am eager to hear the new news of your family.
